A mysterious RSVP party app.
Noir Bash
The object of this project was to design an intuitive and user-friendly RSVP form for events, allowing users to add guests (including their names and email adresses) to an event guest list.
The form needed to effectively display the states of the input fields (before being filled, during filling, and after completion) and provide a clear success page upon completion.
The design decision also included determining the form's structure—whether to use a single-page form or a modal view for adding guests, followed by a review page with editing capabilities.
ROLE: UI Designer
TIME: 1 week
The design objectives
User-Friendly Interface: Ensure the form is easy to navigate and fill out.
State Representation: Clearly show the different states of the input fields.
Success Confirmation: Provide a satisfying confirmation page after submission.
Flexibility in Editing: Allow users to edit guest information before final submission.
My design process
Initially, I decided on the experience path, doing wireframes and low-fidelity frames. This was important so I could define the hierarchy, the flow, and the states (empty, focused, filled in...).
The main focus was to prioritize key actions such as adding a guest, reviewing the guest list, and submitting the form.
The visual design itself
The mood board came in handy for me, with the words MYSTERY/ ELEGANCE/ CONTEMPORARY in mind, this was helpful for me to define the logo and colors to be applied.
Also, decide the color contrast for a dark background, ensuring readability and accessibility.

Takeaways
Trying to figure it all the paths that were needed to conclude the flow from creating the event, using the device's default calendar, adding the guest with their emails so they could be notified, give the freedom for the used to edit all along the way and a success page to confirm the complete task.
Likewise finding a balance for dark mode involved studying and learning about color theory, contrast ratios, and accessibility to ensure a comfortable and visually appealing experience.
